Abstract

When a child comes into the world, parents do everything to take care of him/ her as best as possible. Sleepless nights, limited contact with reality is the natural order of things. Fortunately, it passes with time – as children grow up. Unfortunately, in the case of carers of children with disabilities, this period does not end, and even lasts for years. Loneliness and the lack of a support network of people who care for someone non-stop is a real problem that is not very visible to society. Taking care of the well-being of carers of people with disabilities is extremely important in the process of treatment and rehabilitation of their charges. Although nowadays there is more and more talk about carers, unfortunately, there are still many harmful opinions and stereotypes around them, and no one looks at what these parents experience on a daily basis and what problems they have to deal with.
