Motivating employees in an organisation: objectives and risks. Why is motivating employees necessary and how to avoid mistakes?

The article consists of three parts. The main reasons for motivating employees are presented in the first part. The relation between motivating and a company’s results, employees’ potential and their satisfaction is also described. Inappropriate motivating methods, such as: managers’ wrong views on motivation, cultural or life value aspects, are characterized in part two. Pieces of practical advice, that can help to avoid mistakes presented in the article, are shortly described in part three.
