Abstract

Many articles can be found about innovation in enterprises, indicating that it is a source of enterprise development and the development of competitive advantage. The construct of innovation itself is most often treated in isolation, but it is not innovation alone that creates value. It is only when innovation is commercialised that it can then translate into real business development and the development of a competitive advantage. This article presents all the relevant elements and processes that have had a significant impact on improvements from the point of view of running the company under investigation. The article also identifies how the share of donated funds for the development of innovation in the enterprise contributed to the development of innovation in the individual sectors of the enterprise. The aim of the article is to present the significance of innovation activities of a company from the printing industry for its development, and to show that the innovation had a particular impact on the logistics department, business management and the development of the Internet of Things. The article identifies the share of donated funds for the development of innovations in the company, which, between 2015–2022 contributed to the development of innovations in each sector of the company. The types of innovations introduced in the enterprise are presented. The article considers all relevant elements and processes that have had a significant impact on improvements from the point of view of running the enterprise.
