Przegląd i ocena stanowisk w debacie o paradoksie fikcji

Przedmiotem niniejszego artykułu jest paradoks fikcji, czyli fenomen odczuwania przez odbiorców dzieł narracyjnych szczerych emocji wobec fikcyjnych postaci i wydarzeń, pomimo tego, że mają oni przekonanie, iż byty fikcyjne nie istnieją realnie. Celem jest natomiast ocena dotychczasowych teorii wyjaśniających ten paradoks poprzez wyszczególnienie ich zalet i ograniczeń. Autor omawia kolejno teorię udawania, teorię myśli, teorię iluzji, teorię surogatu przekonania oraz teorię antysądową. Wskazuje, że ostatnia z teorii jest najlepszym kandydatem do rozwiązania paradoksu fikcji.
