Publication ethics

The journal's editors and Publisher adhere to the ethical standards set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). The journal's editorial staff and Publisher follow the rules specified in the DOAJ document "Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing," which specifies ethical principles in scientific publications.

These standards set definitive and irrefutable rules governing the process of reviewing and editing submitted scientific texts. The editors declare that their adherence to these standards is not influenced by any business relationships. It is the intention of the Publisher, the Academy of Humanities and Economics in Łódź, to continuously improve the journal; therefore, the publication of scientific articles is subjected to a fair, ethical and reliable selection and review procedure for submitted papers.

Neither the Editor nor the Publisher charges authors for the publication of their papers. The business model of the journal is institutional support by the Publisher. Paid advertisements are not published. The Editorial Board and the Publisher may, by agreement, publish announcements of scientific events related to the scope of the journal.

Texts submitted to the editorial office of ‘Innovative Management in Economy and Business’ must not have been published before and must not have been submitted to other editors for publication. Submission of a text for publication requires the author to transfer the rights to exploit the article to the Publisher.

The journal's editorial staff uses tools to verify the originality of publications. Each text accepted for publication is checked in this respect in the JSA program.

Authors are required to indicate consents and declarations during the process of submitting their text. All authors should be entered in multi-authored texts, and the leading author should be marked. In the comments, please provide the percentage of participation in creating the submitted text.

The author(s) are required to state the sources of funding for the research presented in the scientific article or the creation of the scientific article.

The members of the journal's editorial board undertake to do the following:

To decide on the publication of submitted scientific texts, taking into account only their scientific value, without regard to the origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender, nationality or world view of the author/author.
Make objective decisions on whether to accept scientific articles for publication and justify their decision in case of refusal.
To inform the journal's website of the rules for reviewing submitted scientific articles.
To maintain complete anonymity in the process of reviewing scientific texts and not to disclose the content of the reviews to third parties.
Withdraw from the process of editing a scientific text if there is a conflict of interest with its author/author.

Inform authors of any suggestions for changes to scientific texts, excluding editing and proofreading.

The author/author has the right to appeal against the decision not to publish his/her article to the journal's editor-in-chief. After consultation with the editorial departments, the editor-in-chief of the journal may uphold or reverse the decision.
