The Reviewing Procedure

The editors of Civitas Hominibus make the initial selection of articles AFTER PREVIOUSLY CHECKING IN THE ANTI-PLAGIARISM SYSTEM (JSA).

The selected manuscripts are subsequently sent to external reviewers. Each article is assessed by two independent referees in a double-blind review process.

We publish the list of our referees once a year.

Reviews are submitted in the written form. Every review concludes with a recommendation whether the article should be rejected or accepted for publication. The author can receive the reviews upon request.

If the article receives two positive reviews, it is accepted for publication. After the article has been edited and proofread it is sent to the author for approval.

If the article receives one negative and one positive review, the editor-in-chief decides whether the manuscript will be published, rejected or sent to another reviewer.

In the event of receiving two negative reviews, the article is automatically rejected.
