About the Journal

The Philosophical and Social Yearbook Civitas Hominibus (ISSN 1896-1819, eISSN 2391-5145) has been published by the Academy of Humanities and Economics in Łódź since 2006. It is devoted to the issues of citizenship and the functioning of society in various aspects, undertaken within the framework of political sciences, philosophy, anthropology or sociology, but also related sciences. The Yearbook is nationwide in scope and is reviewed. The journal's editors are guided by the principles of publishing ethics (Committee on Publication Ethics).

The journal does not charge a fee for the submission, processing, acceptance into print and publication of texts accepted for publication.

According to the communication of the Minister of  Science and Higher Education on January 5th, 2024 on the list of scientific journals and peer-reviewed materials from international conferences, the journal is present in the list of scored journals with a score of 20 points. Unique Journal Identifier: 201511.

Civitas Hominibus was also positively evaluated in the IC Journals Master List 2022, which resulted in ICV (Index Copernicus Value) score of 78.77 points.

Civitas Hominibus has been accepted to the European Reference Index for the Humanities and the Social Sciences ERIH PLUS database, an open access index of scientific journals in the humanities and social sciences, created by the Norwegian Center for Research Data.

COPYRIGHT

In the case of open access publications, the journal uses an exclusive license agreement. The authors assign copyright to Civitas Hominibus, but retain the right to make their article available in the same way as is permitted to third parties under the appropriate user license and certain scholarly use rights.

The journal meets the Open Access definition dedicated to the DOAJ database.

The Yearbook of Philosophy and Social Civitas Hominibus (ISSN 1896-1819, eISSN 2391-5145) is an open access scientific journal (GOLD OA), enabling free, unlimited access to its entire content, without publication restrictions for all users.

CC 4.0 LICENSE

All content of the magazine is made available to readers under the Creative Commons Attribution international license, without additional restrictions (CC BY 4.0). All published open access articles will be immediately and permanently available to read, download, copy and distribute by all users in accordance with the applicable license.

For the reader, this means that the magazine's content is available to both the user and his/her institution free of charge. Users may read, download, copy, print, search, use the full text of articles, as well as use them for any purpose permitted by law without having to seek the consent of the publisher or author. This is in line with the BOAI definition of open access. For the author, this means that by submitting the text for publication in the journal, he or she agrees to the above-mentioned policy.

The journal follows the rules contained in the "Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing".
